A 50-year-old man was arrested on November 18, 2023, after eluding police for several weeks. William Gonzales is one of four suspects who carried out an armed robbery, kidnapping, and burglary at a residence in St. Charles Mesa.

Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 30000 block of Daniel Road on November 8, 2023, to investigate a report of a home invasion. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a victim who alleged four adult males forced their way into a camper that he resides in on the property. The male victim told police that the suspects restrained and forced him at gunpoint to give them access to a nearby garage.

The suspects ransacked the garage and stole tools estimated to be worth several thousands of dollars. Multiple guns, a 2016 Nissan Frontier pickup, and a 2005 Dodge 1500 pickup were also taken. Detectives estimated the loss and damage to be around $100,000.

Over the course of the investigation, the stolen vehicles were located.

William Gonzales has been remanded to the Pueblo County Jail on kidnapping, burglary, aggravated robbery, theft, and criminal mischief charges.
