The Chicago Police Department has announced charges against 23-year-old Deja Collins in connection to a fatal shooting. Collins was apprehended by members of the Chicago Police Department on December 7, 2023 in the 4300 block of West Wilcox Street.

On November 29, 2022 around 8:34 PM, she allegedly opened fire in the 3600 block of West Flournoy Street and fatally shot a 23-year-old male. Authorities say a 24-year-old female, a 21-year-old female, and a 31-year-old female were also injured in the shooting.

Collins was placed into custody. She is facing one count of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, and three counts of aggravated battery/discharge firearm.
