Greenville Police arrests Montray Mitchell in slaying of Shondreka Johnson

The Greenville Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in the October 28th slaying of Shondreka Johnson in the 1800 block of East Alexander. Authorities say 21-year-old Montray Mitchell of Greenville was apprehended on a warrant obtained by investigators. Two other victims were injured during the shooting. Those victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Greenville Police Department said in a social media post that Mitchell is charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and participating in gang activity. He is currently being held in the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility awaiting his initial appearance. On November 13, 2023, the Greenville Police Department released the names of two suspects wanted for their involvement in the murder.

23-year-old Jadarius Profit and 19-year-old Cameron Buck surrendered at the Greenville Police Department. GPD said Profit was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and participating in gang activity. Buck is charged with one count of participating in gang activity.
