Riverside County Sheriff Arrest Three In Connection With Golf Cart Theft In La Quinta

A golf cart theft in La Quinta led to the arrest of three subjects on various charges. Lydia Ruiz, Brandon White, and Mestisa Labuen were arrested following a search warrant after 22 Fentanyl pills and methamphetamine were found in their possession.

Riverside County Sheriff deputies executed a search warrant in the 82000 block of Indio Boulevard in Indio in follow-up of a stolen golf cart. Deputies found what was believed to be methamphetamine and 22 Fentanyl pills, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded Springfield 9mm handgun.

Three arrest warrants were served on three suspects at the location.

Lydia Ruiz, 39 was arrested on burglary, probation violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and vehicle theft charges.

Erick Maldonado, 29 was arrested for felon in possession of ammunition and a firearm and possession of narcotics with a loaded firearm.

Mestisa Labuen, 33 was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for conspiracy.
