Leon County, Florida – The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Katie Lynn Haynes in connection to a homicide on Meridale Drive.

According to an LCSO statement, deputies responded to a report of a deceased person in the 8000 block of Meridale Drive around 8 a.m. on February 2, 2025.

At the scene, responding deputies reportedly found a deceased male victim. LCSO says it arrested Katie Lynn Haynes who was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.

Authorities say the male victim and female suspects were familiar with each other. Haynes is charged with Second-Degree Murder. No other details are available at this time.
