The Wilmington Police Department in North Carolina is investigating a fatal double shooting on Market Street. According to a social media post from WPD, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of 5229 Market Street around 10 PM on December 7, 2023. The address is a motel.

Upon arrival, officers found two males who were pronounced deceased. Authorities confirm that the individual who fired the shots is in custody. The names of the deceased are being withheld until the next of kin can be notified.
