Jerome Police investigating shooting on Saturday evening

Jerome, Idaho – The Jerome Police Department is investigating two shooting incidents that occurred in the area of Cleveland and East F. According to a JPD statement, officers responded to the area for the report of gunshots heard in the area around 6 p.m. on February 1.

JPD says that officers were not able to find any victims, shell casings, or damaged property at the location. While at the scene, JPD officers received a second call of shots fired in the 300 block of 6th Avenue East.

At the second scene, officers found several shell casings and a residence that had been damaged by gunshots. No injuries were reported.

The incidents are still under investigation. JPD believes the same suspect or suspects were responsible for both and that the incidents were not random.
