Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responding to a possible shooting in Clatskanie area

Columbia County, Oregon – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media statement that CCSO and other agencies are responding to a reported shooting on Ilmari Road in Clatskanie.

CCSO says the scene is active at this time. Everyone is asked to stay clear of the area until the matter can be resolved. No other details are available.

Update – CCSO says five shooting victims were located. Two people were found deceased at the scene, including the person who is suspected of initiating the shooting.

Three individuals were transported to area hospitals. One was transported by Life Flight in critical condition.

Update – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on a shooting incident in Clatskanie, Oregon. According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene following reports of gunfire and found five individuals with gunshot wounds.

Two were pronounced deceased at the scene. Three others were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

Investigators believe a disagreement turned violent and led to the shooting. It is alleged that 32-year-old Anthony Hanson pulled out a gun and shot four people, 21-year-old Ryan Thies, 25-year-old Patrick McKenzie, 28-year-old Renato Pascoal, and 28-year-old Molly Cassidy.

Ryan Thies allegedly returned fire killing Hanson. The Sheriff’s Office said that Molly Cassidy was also pronounced deceased at the scene.
