Colleton County, South Carolina – The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting on Thursday.
According to a CCSO release, dispatch received a 911 call about a gunshot victim with life-threatening injuries on January 30. CCSO says the adult male victim was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Witnesses reported that the shooting occurred after a dispute between the victim and another adult male who had arrived at a residence on Dover Bluff Lane in Walterboro, according to CCSO.
Authorities say they identified the suspect as 40-year-old Clint Crosby who may be driving a dark grey Toyota Tacoma with South Carolina tag 685AMB.
He may be in the Goose Creek area of Berkeley County or could be heading toward Tennessee or Kentucky. CCSO says Crosby may be in the company of a second adult male who is driving a Toyota Prius with South Carolina tag UEV809.
Crosby will face charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. CCSO warns that Crosby should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
