Rocklin, California – The Rocklin Police Department has announced a peaceful resolution in the abduction of six-year-old Joe Michael “JoJo” Schultz.
According to RPD, officers responded to a reported abduction in the 6000 block of Placer West Drive around 5:43 p.m. on January 24, 2025.
RPD says the child was abducted by his non-custodial biological father, 36-year-old Joe Schultz. Police say traffic cameras and Automated License Plate Reader technology assisted with identifying the associated vehicle and license plate.
On January 25, RPD detectives contacted Joe Schultz via a cell phone application. Following negotiations, JoJo surrendered around 3:15 p.m. He was booked into the Placer County Jail on kidnapping charges.
