Detroit, Michigan – The Detroit Police Department and the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office have announced charges against 34-year-old Jazzie Jermale Love in connection to the fatal shooting of his 32-year-old girlfriend.

According to authorities, DPD officers responded to a liquor store in the 10700 block of West Eight Mile Road for a reported shooting around 7:21 p.m. on January 16, 2025.

Police say responding officers found the victim outside the store in her vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities allege that Love and the victim had an argument inside the victim’s vehicle. Love is accused of exiting the vehicle, walking to the driver’s side, and fatally shooting the victim in the head.

Love is charged with First-Degree Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Felony Firearm.
