Gaithersburg, Maryland – The Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division has announced the arrest of 25-year-old Kaloyan Dimov Stoev in connection to a double homicide in Rockville on January 17, 2025.
According to an MCPD statement, a 1st District officer was on routine patrol around 3:16 a.m. when he witnessed a white BMW stopped at the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard.
The officer reportedly found an adult male deceased inside the BMW and bullet holes on the exterior of the vehicle. Authorities have identified the victim as 26-year-old Marcell Jordan Hebron.
Around 7:40 a.m., Rockville Police Department officers responded to the parking lot of 2 Research Court for a report of a deceased person. At the scene, officers reportedly found an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds as well as shell casings in the parking lot.
Authorities have identified the female victim as 27-year-old Leilani Marroquin. Authorities allege that Stoev fatally shot and killed both victims. Around 12 p.m. on January 17, Stoev was arrested in Rockville. Police say they found that he was in possession of two firearms.
Stoev is charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder and handgun-related charges. Stoev is currently being held without bond.
