Knox County Sheriff’s Department arrests couple after social media shows dog abuse

Knox County, Kentucky – The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says it has charged a couple following the discovery of a social media video showing a dog being beaten.

According to a KCSD statement, dispatch received a call from a woman stating a video was circulating on social media showing a dog being beaten just outside a residence around 2:41 p.m. on January 16, 2025.

Authorities responded to the address and questioned two individuals. KCSD said in a statement that 22-year-old Ryan D. Mills and 22-year-old Mikayla Gray were responsible for the abuse.

They are charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd Degree. Authorities say the dog was assessed and no serious or permanent harm was found.

    Those f*cks got what was coming to them, they even have a go fund me up for the dog trying to raise injury money cause he was “hit by a car” those fa**ts are so evil they beat the dog and tried to get money from folks by lying about its injuries. I was part of the movement getting the police to there door and I’m so happy to hear theee getting what’s they deserve
