Rutherford County, Tennessee – The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a husband who is charged in his wife’s death.

Detective Captain Todd Sparks said on Tuesday that 87-year-old John Sorace was charged with Reckless Homicide. Sparks went on to say that the charges stem from an investigation into the death of his wife on January 9 at their Rutherford County Home.

Sorace is being held on a $700,000 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on February 24, 2025.
