Albany, Georgia – The Albany Police Department is currently searching for a man in connection to a shooting at the Walmart at 2486 North Slappey Boulevard.
According to APD, officers responded to the store on January 5. Witnesses informed authorities that a black male was seen shooting at a white male in a purple Tahoe truck.
The black male fled in a white Lexus. APD says the altercation continued and the purple Tahoe was located a short time later.
The Tahoe fled. Joseph Jackson Jr. has been charged with Aggravated Assault. APD says William Larry Hagan was discharged from Phoebe Putney Hospital on January 10 for injuries involved in the shooting.
Warrants for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug-Related Objects, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (3 counts) and more were issued for Hagan’s arrest.
APD says he is currently on the lookout. Anyone with information about Hagan’s whereabouts is asked to call the Albany-Dougherty Special Investigative Unit at 229-430-5150 or APD at 229-431-2100.
