Utica, New York – The Utica Police Department is investigating after a man was shot multiple times. According to UPD, units responded to Dewitt Street regarding a ShotSpotter alert for multiple rounds around 11:50 a.m.
At the scene, units found a vehicle that appeared to have struck a building on Erie Street. UPD says units approached and found a man in the driver seat suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to Wynn Hospital before being flown to a Syracuse hospital for additional treatment. The man’s condition is not known at this time.
No one is in custody in connection to this shooting.
