Concord, North Carolina – The Concord Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a Tuesday morning murder.
According to CPD, 41-year-old Sunsharay Coulbourne of Concord was arrested in connection to the death of her 22-year-old niece following a domestic dispute early Tuesday morning.
CPD says officers responded to a residence on Coventry Commons Avenue for a domestic disturbance involving family members just before 1 a.m. on December 31, 2024.
Authorities say responding officers found a female victim with stab wounds. The victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Coulbourne has been charged with First-Degree Murder and is being held in the Cabarrus County Jail without bond.
