Page County, Virginia – The Page County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a wanted suspect who caused a shelter-in-place order earlier today. According to PCSO, it was searching for a male subject with a firearm in the Deerfield Estates area of Stanley.
PCSO says deputies responded to a report of a domestic situation between a male and a female around 9:38 a.m. Deputies encountered the male subject who allegedly brandished a weapon.
Deputies took a defensive position and lost sight of the suspect. PCSO says no shots were fired during the encounter. Authorities have identified the suspect as Todd Shifflett.
Shifflett has outstanding warrants, including new charges of Assault, Brandishing, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon for this morning’s incident, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
In the latest update, Sheriff Chad Cubbage said additional patrols will be actively surveilling neighborhoods tonight. Shifflett remains on the loose.
