Knoxville, Tennessee – The Knoxville Police Department says a Brinks truck driver critically injured a pedestrian on North Broadway.

According to KPD, it is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a Brinks truck early Thursday afternoon on North Broadway.

Officers responded to North Broadway near the Broadway Shopping Center around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police say an adult male pedestrian was transported to the UT Medical Center where he remains in very critical condition.

KPD Crash Reconstruction personnel responded to the scene due to the severity of the crash. Authorities believe the pedestrian fell in front of the Brinks truck for reasons that are unknown at this time.
