Amite, Louisiana – The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a rape. According to TPSO, 34-year-old Kentell Sims has a warrant out for his arrest on various charges, including First-Degree Rape, Sexual Battery, and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.

TPSO says it was notified about a crime involving a juvenile earlier this month. According to a TPSO statement, Sims was identified as the suspect during the investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office says Sims has been in contact with detectives but he refuses to turn himself in. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Juvenile Division at 985-902-2031 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-554-5245.
