The Austin Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred today on Austral Loop. According to a social media post from the Austin Police Department, officers are investigating an officer-involved shooting in the 5370 block of Austral Loop.

Locals are asked to stay away from the area and plan a different route. Delays are expected as the investigation continues.

The Austin Police Department PIO is en route to the scene.
