Greenville Police are looking for a mother wanted for abducting her child

The Greenville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a mother wanted for the abduction of her child.

GPD says 28-year-old Jacquea Dynette Dixon is facing charges of Felony Child Abduction and Obstruction of Justice. Authorities say a court order stipulates that Dixon’s one-year-old baby, Giovanna Jordan,  is to be in the custody of the state.

GPD alleges that Dixon and the child’s father, Joseph Typaige Jordan, have not cooperated with law enforcement of the Department of Social Services. They have allegedly withheld information about the child’s whereabouts.

GPD says Jordan was located in Winterville earlier today and has been charged with Felony Child Abduction and Obstruction of Justice.

Authorities are still looking for Dixon and Giovanna Jordan. Police say Dixon had connections in the Greensboro and Morehead City areas. Anyone with information is asked to call GPD at 252-329-4300.
