The Santa Ana Police Department announced on social media that it is currently investigating the fatal shooting of a 48-year-old Anaheim man.

According to SAPD, its Communications received a report of a shooting in the area of 2000 South Wood Street around 8:51 p.m. on November 23, 2024.

Police say officers reached the scene and found 48-year-old Trino Steven Leon suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he passed away.

SAPD confirms the motive is still under investigation. Homicide Detectives say they are working to identify and locate additional witnesses.
