Warren County Sheriff’s Department arrests suspects in Merry Oaks triple murder

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrests of two suspects in connection to a homicide at 900 Merry Oaks Road.

Sheriff Jackie D. Matheny Jr. reported in a social media statement that officers responded to the area for a report of a deceased male inside a residence around 8:50 a.m. on November 20, 2024.

At the scene, police two found other bodies in an outbuilding on an adjacent property being used as a residence. WCSD has identified the deceased as the homeowner, William Piechocniski, Dana Ramsden, and Otis Hawks II.

Sheriff Matheny said that leads led the investigation to locations in Nashville and Memphis. Evidence of theft of property that belonged to one of the victims was found in Nashville and Memphis.

The Sheriff said the identification of the suspects was confirmed through the evidence found in these cities. On November 21, investigators say they received information that the suspects could be in DeKalb County, Tennessee.

Authorities say one suspect, Jessica Root, was taken into custody without incident. The second suspect was located in a vehicle being driven by a woman, Hannah Rose, according to WCSD.

The sheriff said that a Homeland Security agent was struck by the fleeing suspect vehicle. Shots were also fired but no one was injured. Following an extensive search, authorities say they arrested the second suspect, Caleb Brookins, and Hannah Rose.

Brookins and Root are being charged with three counts of Criminal Homicide. Rose is charged with Felony Evading Arrest and Aggravated Assault.
