The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that it is investigating the fatal shooting of a female victim in Los Angeles.

LCSD says its deputies responded to the east / west alley south of the 2000 block of Century Boulevard in Los Angeles regarding a gunshot victim.

Police say they were met by members of the Los Angeles Police Department. They observed a deceased female, who had been fatally shot, seated in a vehicle that had collided with a concrete foundation, according to authorities.

Investigators say a traffic collision with injuries was previously reported. Authorities say the female victim was suffering from a gunshot wound and was seated in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. LCSD has assumed control of the investigation.
