Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office arrests driver in fatal crash that killed one and injured another

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office reports that it has arrested a woman in connection to a fatal crash on Witcher Creek Road in Belle, West Virginia. KCSO says the crash happened in the 2000 block of Witcher Creek Road around 6 p.m.

Deputies believe that a red SUV struck two pedestrians before fleeing the scene. Deputies located the driver approximately 30 minutes later back on Witcher Creek Road.

KCSO says the driver, 33-year-old Keisha Miller, was allegedly operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. A 31-year-old male victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

He was treated by medics at the scene and released. KCSO says 42-year-old Becky Lynn Martin was transported to CAMC General Hospital where she passed away.

Keisha Miller has been charged with Felony DUI Causing Death, Felony Leaving The Scene of a Crash Causing Death, Misdemeanor DUI Causing Bodily Injury, and Misdemeanor Leaving the Scene of a Crash Causing Bodily Injury.

KCSO is asking anyone with surveillance from the area to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
