The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office says a Riverside painter was arrested for allegedly photographing and sexually abusing a child. RCSO reports that Southwest Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault of a child in the 32000 block of Torenia Court in Temecula around 4:24 p.m. on November 9.
Police say deputies arrived at the scene and found the victim’s family members detaining the suspect who has been identified as 45-year-old Jose Rogelio Hernandez-Gallegos of Riverside.
Authorities say Hernandez-Gallegos worked in the area providing painting services to homeowners. While working at this residence, Hernandez-Gallegos allegedly gained access to a child.
Police allege that the accused photographed and sexually abused the child. Authorities booked Hernandez-Gallegos into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for Lewd Acts With a Minor, Annoying and Molesting a Minor, and Possession of Obscene Material.
Investigators requested and were granted a bail enhancement for $250,000.
