The Las Cruces Police Department reports that its officers were involved in an officer-involved shooting on Monday evening.

LCPD says the incident happened in the 1300 block of South Espina. Police confirm that a suspect was taken into custody and received medical attention.

According to police, no officers were injured during the incident. The investigation will be led by the Dona Ana County Officer-Involved Task Force.

LCPD says more information will be provided in a news release on Tuesday morning.
