Man injured jumping from a window during exchange of gunfire that injured another – Allegheny County Police

The Allegheny County Police Department reports that its Homicide Unit and General Investigations Unit were requested to assist in an investigation in Homestead.

According to authorities, County 911 received a report of shots fired at a residence in the 1700 block of McClure Street around 5:41 p.m. Police say first responders found a man with a lower leg injury.

The man was reportedly injured after jumping out of a window during the shooting. He was not struck by gunfire. ACPD says he was taken to an area hospital in stable condition. Authorities say a gunshot wound victim arrived at an area hospital a short time later and said they were shot at the same location.

ACPD says the man suffered two gunshot wounds, one to the face and one to the abdomen. According to police, he is in stable condition. Police believe the man who jumped from the window was exchanging gunfire with the man who was shot.
