The Knoxville Police Department reports that it has taken an attempted murder suspect into custody. On September 17, KPD reported that its officers and detectives were actively searching for 15-year-old Kendall Ridgeway.

Police say Ridgeway had multiple juvenile petitions stemming from a September 13 shooting at the Kwik Pantry on Asheville Highway. On November 10, 2024, KPD confirmed that Ridgeway was taken into custody at a residence on Riverside Drive.
