The Denver Police Department reports that it has arrested a DPS social worker for sexual assault on a child. DPD says its officers arrested 44-year-old Emilio Ramos-Avila for investigation of Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust on November 6, 2024.

Police say Ramos-Avila was a school social worker at Force Elementary School at 1550 South Wolff Street. DPD is not releasing the arrest affidavit to protect the juvenile victim in this case.

Police are also not releasing the suspect’s mugshot at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call DPD or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
