The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision in Moreno Valley on Monday. A news release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office indicates that deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Old 215 Frontage Road and Bay Avenue in Moreno Valley just before 6 PM on December 4, 2023, in reference to a major injury hit-and-run collision.

Paramedics from Cal Fire responded and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim passed away. The Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team arrived at the location and took over the investigation. According to authorities, the preliminary investigation indicated that a male pedestrian was walking southbound on Old 215 Frontage Road when a vehicle traveling northbound struck him.

The collision caused fatal injuries. Following the collision, the suspect vehicle fled the scene without stopping. Authorities have not identified a suspect at this time.
