The Walla Walla Police Department reports that it is investigating the stabbing of a 31-year-old man on Halloween. Around 4:40 p.m. on October 31, 2024, WWPD says its officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 700 block of Woodlawn Street.

Police say the 31-year-old male victim reported that he was assaulted at his residence by an unknown assailant. The victim was transported to an area hospital by his girlfriend. WWPD says officers and detectives responded to the scene and the hospital to investigate.

Authorities acquired a search warrant to enter the residence on Woodland Street and it was processed for evidence. Police also seized the vehicle used to transported the victim to the hospital.

Police say the victim has not been cooperative with the investigation. Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community. WWPD asks anyone with information to call the non-emergency number at 509-527-1960.
