The Naples Police Department reports that it has arrested a man accused of punching a victim in the face. NPD says it was informed of a robbery at the 1200 block of 5th Avenue North on October 27, 2024.
Police say the victim reported being approached by a suspect who demanded cash. When the victim refused to comply, he was allegedly punched in the face with a closed fist. Police allege that the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to steal his wallet.
After the suspect was unable to get the man’s wallet, he allegedly fled on a bicycle. Detectives say they identified the suspect as 57-year-old Eric Marell Cook who is a convicted felon with three prior arrests for robbery.
Cook was arrested on October 31 and booked for robbery.
