Fresno Police investigating fatal shooting of 33-year-old man at Windscape Apartments

The Fresno Police Department announced on social media that it is investigating a fatal shooting of a 33-year-old man at the Windscape Apartments at 353 West Nees. FPD says Northwest officers responded to a report of a shooting at apartment 206 just after midnight on November 1, 2024.

FPD says the reporting party informed authorities that 33-year-old Tyler Hamon had been shot. Police say officers found bullet holes through the front door and cartridge casings on the upstairs landing.

Authorities found Hamon inside a bedroom unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was transported to Kaiser Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

FPD says this is the 27th murder of 2024 while the city had 26 murders at the same time last year.
