The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says it has arrested a man who was wanted for Attempted First-Degree Murder. HCSO says detectives with its Criminal Warrant Unit apprehended Edward Anthony White on October 31, 2024.
Detectives say they spotted White driving a white sedan on Reggie White Boulevard and attempted a traffic stop. White allegedly eluded leading to a brief police pursuit. HCSO says detectives used the PIT maneuver to end the pursuit in the 100 block of 38th Street.
White was taken into custody. Police claim White discarded a handgun while fleeing, but the handgun was recovered and confirmed to be stolen. Police also say he was in possession of various illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
White was booked on outstanding warrants for Attempted First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Domestic Violence Assault, and Vandalism. He is facing new charges including the following.
- Felony Evading
- Reckless Endangerment
- Tampering with Evidence
- Possession of a Firearm During a Dangerous Felony
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Fentanyl
- Driving on Revoked License
- Theft of Property
