The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office reports that a woman was shot multiple times during a confrontation with a group of armed individuals. SCSO says its deputies and California Highway Patrol officers responded to a 911 call about a shooting in the Mount Shasta Vista subdivision on October 23, 2024.
Authorities say a 36-year-old woman was shot multiple times during a confrontation with a group of armed individuals. At the scene, deputies found the female and provided life-saving measures, according to SCSO.
Authorities say witnesses described the shooter as an Asian adult male who was short and stocky. He was reportedly wearing glasses and a gray beanie-type hat. Two vehicles associated with the shooter and other persons of interest were reportedly seen fleeing the area following the shooting.
SCSO says the vehicles include a newer Ford pickup truck that may be similar to a Raptor and an older SUV that may be similar to a Honda Pilot. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call SCSO Detective Towers at 530-841-2900.
