Spring Hill Police provide update on disturbance at Crossings Boulevard Target

The Spring Hill Police Department has provided an update on the incident that occurred at the Target at 1033 Crossings Boulevard around 7:10 p.m. on October 23. SHPD says its officers responded to the store for an argument inside between two women.

Authorities say two women were shopping in the back section when they got into an argument that turned into a physical fight. At some point, one woman fired a round from a handgun at the other woman.

SHPD says no one was struck. The female suspect was seen on video leaving the store and getting into a car with the person she came with, according to authorities. The car left the area.

Authorities say the women did not know each other and it is not known what led to the argument. SHPD detectives say they are speaking to witnesses and have taken a statement from the woman who was shot at.

Authorities have identified the shooter as a 24-year-old woman with a Columbia, Tennessee address on her driver’s license. Police say she is cooperating and providing a statement to detectives.

No other details are available at this time.
