A 3-year-old boy has reportedly been shot in the hand, according to Pittsburgh authorities. The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department reported on social media that Zone 5 Pittsburgh Police officers responded to the 1300 block of Collier Street in Homewood North for a six-round Shot Spotter alert just before 10 p.m. on October 22.
PPSD says officers reached the scene where they were met by an adult male who said his 3-year-old son was shot in the hand. Authorities say the child suffered a graze wound to the finger.
The child was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. PPSD says no property damage was found and no shell casings were recovered. No arrests have been made.
