The Salinas Police Department says it is searching for two Hispanic men following a shooting that injured an 18-year-old man. SPD says its officers responded to a Shot Spotter activation of nine rounds around 7 p.m. on October 20 in the 600 block of Williams Road.
Authorities say a 911 caller reported shots being fired in the Williams and Bardin area. Officers made contact with an 18-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the left leg minutes later, according to police.
The victim was treated at Natividad Medical Center and released. SPD says witnesses reported that two Hispanic males in dark clothing were seen running on Williams Road following the shooting.
