The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrest of a son in connection to the murder of his father. PCSD says its deputies responded to help firefighters at a residence in Graham around 9:42 p.m. on October 18, 2024.
Firefighters were performing CPR on a man. Authorities say the man suffered a wound that firefighters believed was not self-inflicted. Deputies reached the scene and the man was pronounced deceased.
Deputies say the family members explained that the 54-year-old victim was arguing with his son in the detached garage. Detectives say they developed probable cause to arrest the man’s 25-year-old son who fled the scene in his black Chevrolet 3500 truck.
The Puyallup Police Department says one of its officers spotted the suspect’s vehicle in the 3900 block of Meridian East around 4:43 p.m. on October 19, 2024. The officer reportedly followed the vehicle until additional deputies and officers arrived.
The vehicle was stopped and the suspect was taken into custody. The 25-year-old man has been booked into the Pierce County Jail for Murder in the 1st Degree.
