Waurika city manager and reserve police officer arrested on child sexual abuse charges

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has announced the arrest of a Waurika City Manager and a Reserve Police Officer for the Waurika Police Department. OSBI says the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI investigate a possible sex offense in Waurika on January 8, 2024.

OSBI says the suspect was identified as 30-year-old Charles Kyote Dunn who is the City Manager of Waurika and a Reserve Police officer for WPD. On January 11, OSBI says special agents interviewed Dunn and carried out a search warrant at his residence.

Authorities seized electronic devices. Authorities say several child sexual abuse images were found. On October 17, 2024, OSBI special agents arrested Dunn in Duncan, Oklahoma. At this time, Dunn is facing charges of Possession and Manufacture of Child Sexual Abuse Material and Loitering Around Residence to Watch Occupants.
