The Albany Police Department has announced the arrest of 34-year-old Antonio Seay. APD says its officers responded to the 700 block of Don Cutler Sr Drive on October 14, 2024 in reference to a stabbing.
APD alleges that Seay and a female victim were sitting in a vehicle when an altercation began. At some point, Seay allegedly stabbed the victim who was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition. APD says Seay returned to the location while officers were still at the scene. He was taken into custody. On October 12, 2024, Seay allegedly committed another stabbing in the 100 block of Richard Avenue.
On that day, Seay is accused of stabbing a 34-year-old man multiple times. The brother of the victim shot at Seay to stop the assault. APD says Seay fled the scene leaving a 4-year-old child behind.
The victim was treated at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The child was released to other relatives. Seay has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Possession of Certain Weapons During Crime, Cruelty to Child, and Aggravated Assault.
Authorities say Seay was released from prison in September 2024 and failed to report to probation. As a result, he also had an active Probation Violation warrant.
