The Takoma Park Police Department is currently searching for 25-year-old Yonas Alemseged Harris after he allegedly sent intimidating and threatening emails to Montgomery College officials and the Montgomery County Police Department.

TPPD says it has an active arrest warrant for Harris. The threats allegedly indicated that Harris intended to “shoot up” Montgomery College. The college implemented a Code Red today and closed all locations.

Harris is a black male around 5’2” and 125 pounds. TPPD encourages anyone with information to call the police department at 301-270-1100.
