A social media post from the Baton Rouge Police Department says authorities are investigating a fatal shooting on Jefferson Avenue. The Baton Rouge Police Department said that the incident occurred just before 1 PM today, December 3, 2023, at 2401 Jefferson Avenue.

The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Gregory Chaney. Authorities say Chaney was found outside the address with multiple gunshot injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
