The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a high school coach for alleged inappropriate contact with students. RCSO reports that a school resource deputy responded to a high school in the 100 block of Nuevo Road in Perris to investigate allegations that a coach was having inappropriate contact with students in August 2024.
RCSO says the employee was placed on administrative leave during the investigation which was taken over by RCSO’s Special Victims Unit. Investigators allege that 27-year-old Jesse Gonsalez Lopez had inappropriate contact with students.
On October 10, 2024, Lopez was arrested. He will be booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for Child Annoyance, Sexual Battery, and Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor.
