The Chicago Police Department has announced that a 21-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old man. According to a news release from the Chicago Police Department, Daeshawn Hill was arrested by the Chicago Police Department in the 400 block of Miami Street in Park Forest on December 1, 2023.

CPD says Hill was identified as the person who allegedly shot a 40-year-old male victim in the 0-100 block of West 113th Street just before 1 PM on April 30, 2023. Hill was taken into custody and charged with one count of first-degree murder.
