The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a double shooting that injured a man and woman on Tuesday morning. Around 5:45 a.m. on October 8, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 0 to 100 block of Saddlelake Green Northeast.

At the scene, officers found a man and woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Authorities believe the victims had exited their home and were entering a vehicle when they were approached by a suspect who fired shots.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV. The victims were transported to an area hospital in critical condition. They have since been upgraded to stable condition. Anyone with information is asked to call CPS at 403-266-1234.
