Police Service of Northern Ireland investigating death of 22-year-old woman found dead in Belfast home

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is currently investigating the death of a woman found deceased in her home. PSNI reports that 22-year-old Mary Ward was found deceased in her Melrose Street home in Belfast by police officers on 1st October.

A murder investigation has been launched. Detective Chief Inspector Foreman explained that the investigation is still in the early stage and authorities are working to establish the exact circumstances.

However, it is believed that Mary was last seen alive on 25 September. Authorities with to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. Head of Public Protection Branch Detective Chief Superintendent Lindsay Fisher said that Mary Ward is the fourth woman to be murdered in Northern Ireland in just six weeks.
