A 54-year-old man was stabbed to death in Greenville, Mississippi on Friday evening. The Greenville Police Department says its officers responded to a possible stabbed victim in the 200 block of North Theobald Street around 6:40 p.m. on October 4, 2024.

Authorities say responding officers found a black man lying on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound to the side. Witnesses reportedly told authorities that the suspect fled the scene on foot.

GPD says the victim has been identified as 54-year-old Steven Randy McKnight of Greenville. No other details are available at this time. GPD is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 662-378-8477.
